Seventh Edition (1965-1971):

Cover Art: Dom Lupo
Author: William Hillcourt

The 7th Edition, published in 1965, was similar to its immediate predecessor and was read by boys during Scouting's peak membership years in the late 1960s. It was the first multi-racial handbook (the cover art wraps around to show a Black and Asian Scout on the back) and for the Ryukyu Islands Edition all of the faces were repainted with Asian features.

Quote: Rubbish has no place in the American landscape. If you suffer from the sad "dropping habit" that so many Americans have, get rid of it! Make up your mind from your earliest days as a Scout to hike and to camp without leaving a trace of rubbish behind.
